	Holiday, Adventure, BUT NOT FOR EVERYBODY Dear Guests, Welcome to Melina Beach. If you need a real getaway, you have chosen the right place. Melina Beach is located between Kampung Genting and Kampung Paya on Pulau Tioman. This resort has been operating since 1999. During 2006 a joint venture between Ecofieldtrips, www.ecofieldtrips.com.sg and Melina Beach began; resulting in the development of ecotourism. There are now additional unique buildings such as "The Penthouse" and "Treehouse" both located directly on the beach with spectacular panoramic views, students accomodation as well as the existing rooms. Melina Beach is completely isolated with a 3km stretch of private beach. Our comfortable and luxurious rooms are very reasonably priced. The sunsets here are spectacular.Our restaurant offers a wide variety of local and western dishes, all cooked to perfection. You can get all kinds of seafood here, also authentic German sausages and breads. Some of the facilities we offer are, broadband internet, indoor board games and a library. We also arrange for a variety of water sports such as scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing and many more. Ecofieldtrips (EFT) runs a range of trips varying in content and length which are conducted by experienced EFT field biologists. From fun filled introductions to the biology of rainforests, mangroves, seashore and coral reefs to in -depth studies for school and university students. Amazing We are proud to announce that we have a wonderfull house reef just in front of our resort. There we find a huge variety of fish, corals and even animals right at your doorstep. We have turtles laying eggs here during the nesting season. Our protected turtle hatchery has a success of approximately 3,500 hatchlings since 2004. It is not unusual to spot monkeys, monitor lizards and giant squirrels from you balcony. At night you are serenaded by nature's concert from the sea, animals and the jungle. We occasionally have visiting Dolpins! Our house reef is in good shape with a wonderful variety of marine animals. You can spend weeks exploring and learning here. Ecofieldtrips involvement with Melina Beach means that interested tourists can have the opportunity to really explore and learn about the animals and plants that inhabit in the areas around Melina Beach. You will spot clown fishe, turtles, harmless reef sharks, bump head parrotfish, barracudas and much more. Surely you will be impressed by this coral garden, which covers hundreds of meters.
